1. In a large
bowl, whisk together the cornmeal and 240ml/8fl.oz. of the water. Set aside.
2. Bring the
remaining water to the boil in a large saucepan, add the oil and beef stock cube
and mix well.
3. Pour the mixed cornmeal
batter into the pan of boiling water and mix well. Reduce the heat and simmer
for 5-8 minutes, stirring from constantly until thickened.
Serve hot as an accompaniment to meats and poultry
