100g/4oz Self Raising Flour
A large pinch of Salt
Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl, make a well in the centre,
then pour in the beer and whisk until well blended and smooth.
How to use this beer batter
This makes a light crisp batter suitable for fish or vegetables.
Make sure the food to be coated is dry then coat with flour. Shake
off the excess flour then dip in the batter to coat on all sides and
immediately fry in oil or fat.
This is a dairy free alternative to normal batters
