Below is a selection of smoothies which are suitable for adults including alcoholic smoothies and savoury smoothies. Why not serve them as an alternative pre-dinner drink.

General Notes

  • All recipes serve 2 unless otherwise stated and take 30-60 seconds’ blending – starting on low and increasing to high.

  • If using frozen fruit omit the ice cubes. You can substitute plain ice cubes with the same quantity of frozen base liquid to give a fuller flavour

  • Where possible, chill the base liquid beforehand

Baileys, Banana & Coffee Smoothie recipe


Each portion supplies 1 of your recommended 5-a-day

Ingredients
120ml/4fl.oz. Baileys Irish Cream
2 Bananas
240ml/8fl.oz. Coffee Ice Cream
2 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Cucumber, Pepper and Onion Smoothie Recipe


Each portions supplies 1.5 of your daily recommended 5-a-day

Ingredients
240ml/8fl.oz. Tomato Juice
˝ Red Capsicum (Sweet Pepper) Chopped
100g/4oz Cucumber, chopped
1 teasp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp chopped Spring Onions
1 teasp Worcestershire Sauce
Salt & Pepper
A few drops of Hot-Pepper Sauce
2-4 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Gin Pink Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
120ml/4fl.oz. Gin
120ml/4fl.oz. Vanilla Ice Cream
125g/5oz Strawberries
6-8 Ice Cubes, crushed

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Malibu Mixed Fruit Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
120ml/4fl.oz. Malibu
1 Banana
1 Peach, stoned and chopped
1 Orange, peeled, seeded and chopped
75g/3oz Blueberries
4-6 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth

Tequilla Melon Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
250g/9oz Watermelon Flesh, cubed
3 tbsp freshly squeezed Lime Juice
120ml/4fl.oz. Tequila
60ml/2fl.oz Cointreau
6-8 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Tomato, Cucumber and Celery Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients
240ml/8fl.oz. Natural Yogurt
1 x 20cm/8-inch Cucumber, seeded and chopped
1 Large Tomato
1 Stick of Celery, cut into pieces
1 tbsp Finely chopped Onion
Salt and Pepper
A dash of Tabasco Sauce

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

100g/4oz Raspberries
1 Peach, stoned and chopped
75g/3oz Grapes
120ml/4fl.oz. Lemonade
120ml/4fl.oz.Vodka (or to taste)
4 Ice Cubes, cracked

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
