BBQ'd Bourbon Steak Recipe

A really easy barbecue recipe for any kind of prime beef steak such as rump steak, sirloin steak, T-bone steak and  rib-eye steak which only has three ingredients.

Ingredients

4 x 200g/7oz Beef Steaks (rump, fillet, sirloin etc)

240ml/8fl.oz. Bourbon Whiskey 

200g/7oz Dark Brown Sugar

 

Instructions

 

1.  With the tip of a sharp knife, lightly score the steaks on one side diagonally and place  in a shallow dish, scored side up.

 

2. Pour the bourbon over the steaks then rub the brown sugar into the steaks. Cover and leave to marinate for 1 to 3 hours. If the room is very warm, place in the refrigerator.

 

3.  Place the steaks sugar side down on the grill and cook for 4 - 5 minutes until sugar has caramelised.

 

4. Baste the steak with any remaining marinade then turn and continue to cook for a further 5 minutes, or until cooked to your taste. Serve immediately.

Add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the marinade
