Herby Barbecued Onions

4 Medium Onions
50g/2oz Butter, softened
1 tbsp Freshly chopped Parsley
1 tbsp Freshly chopped Chives
1 tbsp Freshly chopped Tarragon
Salt and Black Pepper
Peel each onion and slash into quarters but making sure the bases are still in tact.

Wrap each onion in heavy duty aluminium foil, sealing well, then place amongst
the coals for 20 to 25 minutes until tender. Serve hot.
