Hot Vegetarian Nuts Herbs Main Course Barbecue
225g/8oz Firm Tofu
75g/3oz Ground Walnuts
1 teasp Dill Weed
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
50g/2oz Fresh Breadcrumbs
1. In a large mixing bowl, mash together the tofu and tahini. Add the dill weed and soy sauce
and mix well.
2. Add the bread crumbs a little at a time until the mixture is just stiff
enough to bind. Form into burgers.
3. Cook over medium hot coals for 5-7 minutes on each side until browned on both
sides and cooked through. Serve immediately.
Serve on their own or in a bun with garnishes such as
shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickled gherkin slices,
mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise.
