Beef Main Course

If serving as part of a traditional Indonesian meal, i.e. a rice/noodle dish
plus 2-3 other dishes, reduce the quantity of beef to 675g/1-1/2lb
Sirloin Steak, cut into 2.5cm/1-inch cubes
Garlic Cloves, finely chopped
tbsp Ground Coriander
tbsp Ground Turmeric
teasp Ground Ginger
Freshly grated Coconut
tbsp Lemon Juice
tbsp Brown Sugar
Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to the boil mixing well.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes only.
Remove from the heat and remove the meat from the cooking liquid with a slotted
spoon onto a plate and allow to cool until cold enough to handle.
Preheat the grill to medium hot. Thread
the meat onto skewers then grill for 8-10 minutes, turning 2 or 3 times, or
until cooked through. Serve hot with or without a sate sauce.
