Student Corned Beef

British Ingredients 1 Small Tin of
Corned Beef, cut into slices 1cm/½ inch
thick 1 tablespoon Plain
Flour 1 small Egg, beaten 1 tablespoon Milk Salt
and Pepper Oil for shallow frying Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together the flour, egg, milk and seasoning and beat to form a smooth batter.
2. Pour enough oil into a medium sized frying pan to reach a depth of about 1cm/½-inch and heat until hot.
3. Dip the slices of corned beef into the batter then gently add to the hot oil (it should sizzle) and fry on both sides until crisp and golden brown.
4. To serve - drain on kitchen paper and serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables of your choice.
