Serves 4 – 6
1 ½ lb Minced Beef
Tomato Sauce (ketchup)
50g/2oz Dry Bread Crumbs
50g/2oz Cheddar Cheese, diced
Salt and Black Pepper
50g/2oz Onions, chopped
Egg, lightly beaten
Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4
and grease a 900ml/1
½ pt loaf
and line it with greaseproof paper.
Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until well blended. Shape
into the loaf tin and bake for 1 hour.
3. To serve - loosen
the sides of the loaf and remove from the tin. Transfer to a serving platter and
slice thickly. Serve with a home made tomato sauce.
