French Cottage Pies HT MC French 45mins
Serve 4 Hot Beef Alcohol Leftovers Vegetables Main Course Eggless France Europe
Ingredients 350g/12oz Cooked Beef or Lamb 1 Shallot, finely chopped 1 Garlic Clove, finely chopped 4 tbsp Freshly chopped Parsley 4 tbsp Fresh White Breadcrumbs 120ml/4 fl.oz. Red Wine 50g/2oz Grated Gruyere Cheese 50g/2oz Butter 450g/1lb Mashed Potato
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 220C, 425F, Gas mark 7. Grease 4 individual ovenproof dishes.
2. Chop the meat and place in a bowl together with the garlic and shallot. Add the parsley, breadcrumbs, red wine, salt and pepper and mix well.
3. Divide the mixture between the greased dishes, top with the potato and sprinkle with the cheese.
4. Dot with butter and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.
