Steamed Beef with Capsicums HT MC 20mins Serves 4 Hot Beef Alcohol Main Course Dairy Free Eggless
Ingredients 450g/1lb Sirloin Steak 1 Green Capsicum, deseeded 2 teasp Cornflour 4 teasp Soy sauce 2 tbsp Dry Sherry 1 tbsp Peanut oil 1 teasp Vinegar 2 Spring Onions, thinly sliced Spring Onions to garnish
Instructions
1. Cut the steak, across the grain, into slices, about 3mm/ 1/8 inch thick. Arrange the slices in a shallow heatproof dish. Cut the capsicum into thin strips and add to the beef.
2. Blend the cornflour with the soy sauce, dry sherry, peanut oil and vinegar and pour the mixture over the beef and green pepper. Sprinkle over the sliced spring onions, then toss with a fork.
3. Cover and steam over rapidly boiling water for 8 minutes, until the beef is tender. Serve immediately, garnished with the spring onion.
