Burger Buns Recipe
Veg HT CD CBF 40mins plus proving
Makes 8
Hot Cold Vegetarian Rolls Breads Baked Fayre
Ingredients
150ml/5fl.oz. Milk
90ml/3fl.oz. Water
50g/2oz butter
375g/13oz Plain Flour
5g Instant Yeast
15g/½oz Granulated Sugar
¼ teasp Salt
1 Egg
Instructions
1. Heat the milk, water and butter in a small saucepan until quite warm.
2. Place half the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl then add the
milk mixture and egg and mix well.
3. Stir in the remaining flour, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well between
each addition.
4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead for about 8 minutes
until smooth and elastic.
5. Divide dough into 8 equal portions, shape each portion into smooth balls,
then place on a greased baking sheet, flatten slightly, cover with a damp tea
towel and leave to rise for about 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, gas Mark 6 then bake the rolls for 10 to 12
minutes, or until golden brown.
