Ingredients
225g/8oz Plain Flour
1 teasp Salt
360ml/12fl.oz. Warm Water (Approx)
Vegetable Oil
Instructions
1. Place the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
2. Add 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil and blend well.
3. Add half of the warm water and start mixing into the flour, adding more water
as you go to form a dough that does not stick to the sides of the bowl.
4. Knead the dough for a few minutes in the bowl until soft and pliable then the
dough into four and shape into balls.
5. Slightly flatten the balls and generously coat each one with vegetable oil
then place the balls in the mixing bowl, cover the bowl with a tea towel and
leave to stand for about 3 hours.
6. After the standing period, roll one of the balls into a thin circle on a
lightly floured work surface.
7. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan the add rolled out dough and fry
on both sides until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining balls. Serve with
curry.
