Caraway Seed Biscuits Veg CD CBF 30minsMakes approx. 36 biscuits Cold Vegetarian Alcohol Cookies Baked Fayre Ingredients: 1 level tbsp Caraway Seeds 50g/2oz Butter 250g/9oz Plain Flour 50g/2oz Caster Sugar 1 Small Egg, beaten 120ml/4fl.oz. Ale (beer) Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 190C, 375F, Gas mark 5 and lightly grease 2-3 baking sheets. Place the flour in a large mixing bowl and rub in the butter with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs. 2. Stir in the sugar and caraway seeds and mix well. Add the egg and enough of the ale to form a stiff paste. 3. Turn onto a floured surface and roll out as thinly as possible. Prick all over with a fork then cut into rounds with a pastry cutter. Transfer to the baking trays and bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes until golden. Cool on wire trays.
