Flapjacks RecipeVeg Cold CBF English 65minsMakes 8 -10 Biscuits Vegetarian Cold Pastries Cookies Baked Fayre Eggless England British Europe Ingredients: 100g/4oz Margarine 25g/1oz Granulated Sugar 2 level tbsp Golden Syrup 200g/7oz Rolled Oats 1/4 teasp SaltInstructions 1. Preheat the oven to 170C, 325F, Gas mark 3 and grease a Yorkshire pudding tin. 2. Place the margarine and sugar into a mixing bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until pale and fluffy. 3. Measure the syrup into a pan and heat it gently. Stir the warm syrup into the creamed fat and sugar mixture then work in the oats and salt until well blended. 4. Put mixture into the tin, pressing down firmly and evenly. Bake in centre of oven for 30-45 minutes till golden. Cut into fingers and leave in the tin until cold - if the pieces are removed whilst hot, they may crumble.
