Glazed Spare Ribs (Dim Sum) HT  Chinese  HD  50mins plus marinating



Serves  4 on its own or 8-12 as part of a dim sum menu

675g/1˝lb Spare Ribs, cut into 5cm/2 inch lengths

For the Sauce

1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce

1 tbsp Honey

2 teasp Sesame Oil

2 Garlic Cloves, crushed

2 teasp Freshly grated Ginger

120ml/4 fl.oz. Plum Sauce

1 tbsp Cider Vinegar

2 tbsp Soy Sauce





1. Place all the sauce ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well blended.

2. Add the spare ribs, mix well, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

3. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4. Fill a large baking tin with 1cm/ 1/2 inch of water and place a wire rack over the top. Put the ribs on the wire rack then bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the ribs are cooked through. Serve immediately.
