dish is the Fijian version of Ceviche. It is a Fijian favourite which is usually
served as a starter on a bed of lettuce or with a fresh fruit salad.
As with Ceviche, raw fish is “cooked”
by marinating it in lime or lemon juice.
can vary the ingredients according to what you have to hand, so long as you keep
the main ingredients in proportion i.e. lime
juice, coconut cream and white-fleshed fish.
Experiment with the addition of
various raw vegetables and seasonings such as fresh herbs, garlic, capsicums,
shredded carrots and cucumber.
