Bananas with Cinnamon Coconut Sauce   Veg  HT  DP  Indonesian  15mins

 

Serves 4   Hot  Vegetarian  Vegan Fruit  Dessert  Pudding  Dairy free Indonesia  South East Asia  Asian

 

Ingredients

4 large Bananas

1 tbsp Plain Flour

2 tbsp Sugar

1/2 teasp Ground Cinnamon

420ml/14fl.oz. Coconut Milk

 

Instructions

 

1. Remove the ends from the bananas and steam for 5 minutes.

 

2.  Meanwhile, place the flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan, add the coconut milk and bring to the boil over a medium heat, stirring.

 

3. Reduce the heat and continue to simmer, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

 

4. To serve remove the bananas from the steamer and remove the skins (using tongs and a knife). Transfer to serving plates, pour the hot sauce over the bananas and serve immediately.
