Blueberry and Pear Oat Crumble RecipeVeg HT DP 40minsServes 4 Hot Vegetarian Fruit Spices Desserts Puddings Ingredients: 450g/1lb Firm Pears, peeled and cored 400g/14oz Blueberries Water 100g/4oz Sugar 1 level teasp Ground Allspice75g/3oz Plain Flour 100g/4oz Butter 100g/4oz Rolled OatsInstructions 1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas mark 4 and grease an ovenproof dish.
2. Cut the pears into large chunks. Place in a saucepan with the blueberries and about 2 tablespoons of water. Stir in half the sugar and and the allspice and cook over a medium heat for 5 -7 minutes, stirring from time to time. 3. Meanwhile, place the flour in a large mixing bowl and rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs, then stir in the oats and remaining sugar.
4. Transfer the fruit and juices to the prepared ovenproof dish and sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top. 5. Press the topping down lightly then bake for about 25 minutes, or until the topping is crisp and golden.
