Cava Sorbet Veg CD DP Spanish 25mins plus freezing
Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine made by the 'Champenoise' production method
Serves 4 Cold Alcohol Vegetarian Dessert Ices Gluten Wheat free Eggless Spain Europe
Ingredients: 300ml/10fl.oz. Water 350g/12oz Granulated Sugar The juice of 1 Orange 30ml/1fl.oz. Brandy 300ml/10fl.oz. Cava or Sparkling wine 270ml/9fl.oz. Double Cream
Instructions 1. Place the water and sugar into a saucepan and stir over a gentle heat until the sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. 2. Add the orange juice, brandy and Cava to cooled syrup and mix well. Pour into a freezer tray and freeze until the mixture is almost frozen. 3. Remove it from the freezer and turn it into a bowl. In another bowl whip the cream until stiff, then add to the frozen syrup and mash the two well together. Return mixture to freezer and freeze until solid.
