Hot Fruit Vegetarian
550g/1-¼ lbs fresh
225g/8oz Granulated Sugar
1 tbsp Cornflour
240ml/8fl.oz. Boiling Water
125g/-5oz Plain Flour
1 teasp Baking Powder
1/4 teasp Salt
3 tbsp Melted Butter
1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4 and place
cherries in the bottom of a 22cm/9 inch square baking tin. Set aside.

sugar, butter, salt and milk and mix to a stiff dough.
Spread the dough over the cherries.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the
sugar and cornflour then gradually stir in
the boiling water and mix well.
4. Pour the cornflour mixture over the dough and bake
for 45 minutes. Serve hot.
