Cherry Cobbler
Veg HT DP 65mins Serves 6

Eggless Ingredients 550g/1-¼ lbs fresh pitted Cherries 225g/8oz Granulated Sugar 1 tbsp Cornflour 240ml/8fl.oz. Boiling Water For
the dough 125g/-5oz Plain Flour 1 teasp Baking Powder 100g/4oz Sugar 1/4 teasp Salt 3 tbsp Melted Butter 120ml/4fl.oz. Milk Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4 and place
cherries in the bottom of a 22cm/9 inch square baking tin. Set aside. 2. Sift
together the flour and baking powder into a large mixing bowl then add the
sugar, butter, salt and milk and mix to a stiff dough.
Spread the dough over the cherries. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the
sugar and cornflour then gradually stir in
the boiling water and mix well. 4. Pour the cornflour mixture over the dough and bake for 45 minutes. Serve hot.
