1. In a saucepan,
warm the butter until almost melted. Preheat a lightly oiled waffle iron.
2. Transfer the
butter to a large mixing bowl, add the sugar and mix well.
3. Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
4. Add the flour,
baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla sugar and oil and beat until well blended.
5. Pour the dough
unto the hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown (about 5 minutes). You may
have to cook in batches depending on the size of your waffle iron. Serve
hot with jam, syrup or cream or allow to cool.
