Poached Pears With Ricotta Veg
HT DP 45mins plus standing
Gluten Wheat Free Eggless
Ripe Pears, halved, peeled and cored
tbsp Ricotta Cheese
toasted Pecan nuts, chopped
tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4. Place the sugar and water in a
saucepan, bring to boil and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Place pears in shallow ovenproof dish, and pour the sugar syrup over them. Cover
with foil, and bake until tender, about 20 - 25 minutes.
Remove the pears from the over oven and set aside to cool until just warm.
To serve - Place 2 pear halves on 4 individual serving plates, top with a
tablespoon of fresh ricotta, sprinkle with the nuts, pour any remaining over and
around the pears then drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the top.
