Poached Pears With Ricotta Veg

Sugar 240ml/8fl.oz.
Water 4
Ripe Pears, halved, peeled and cored 4
tbsp Ricotta Cheese 50g/2oz
toasted Pecan nuts, chopped 4
tbsp Balsamic Vinegar Instructions 1.
Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4. Place the sugar and water in a
saucepan, bring to boil and cook for 3-4 minutes. 2.
Place pears in shallow ovenproof dish, and pour the sugar syrup over them. Cover
with foil, and bake until tender, about 20 - 25 minutes. 3.
Remove the pears from the over oven and set aside to cool until just warm. 4.
To serve - Place 2 pear halves on 4 individual serving plates, top with a
tablespoon of fresh ricotta, sprinkle with the nuts, pour any remaining over and
around the pears then drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the top.
