A Weekday Menu Recipe

Stewed Apples & Plums   Veg HT CD DP English 30mins

Serves 4      Hot Cold Vegetarian Fruit Spices Dessert Pudding Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless

4 Cooking Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
4 Plums, skinned and stoned
4 tbsp Sugar
120ml/4fl.oz. Water
Cinnamon Stick
1 Star Anise


1. Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to simmering point, stir well then simmer gently for 15-20 minutes or until the fruit is tender.

2. Remove the cinnamon stick and star anise then stir before serving hot or cold.
