Stilton, Fruit and Nut Crumble Recipe HT Veg DP English 55mins
Serves 6 Hot Vegetarian Dessert Pudding British England Europe Eggless
Ingredients 450g/1lb Cooking Apples, peeled, cored and chopped 450g/1lb Ripe Pears, peeled, cored and chopped Sugar to taste (approx 3 tbsp) 50g/2oz Rolled Oats 50g/2oz Butter 175g/6oz Plain Flour 50g/2oz Walnuts 75g/3oz White Stilton Cheese 50g/2oz Sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4.
2. Place the fruit in a deep ovenproof dish and sprinkle with sugar to taste.
3. Place remaining ingredients in a food processor and process briefly until mixture resembles fresh breadcrumbs.
4. Pour most of the crumble mixture evenly over the fruit and press down gently. Sprinkle the remaining crumble evenly over the top and bake for 40 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Serve hot.
