Missing an Ingredient ?

Apple Syllabub   Veg  CD  DP  30mins plus chilling

Serves 4       Cold  Fruit Dessert  Vegetarian  Gluten Wheat free




2 Dessert Apples, peeled cored and chopped

2 tbsp Water

1 tbsp Caster Sugar

120ml/4fl.oz. Sweet White Wine

Zest and Juice of 1 small Lemon

25g/1oz Caster Sugar

210ml/7fl.oz. Double Cream

Fresh Mint to decorate





1. Place the apples, water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to the boil, cover and cook 8-10 minutes, until soft. Beat well to puree and allow to cool.


2. Place the wine, lemon zest and juice, sugar and cream into a bowl and whisk until the mixture holds its shape then fold in the apple puree and spoon into 4 glasses. Chill for 1-2 hours.


3. To serve - decorate with fresh sprigs of mint.
