Banana Ice Cream   Veg  CD   DP   70mins  plus freezing

Serves 4     Cold  Fruit  Vegetarian Desserts Ices Gluten Wheat free  Eggless



3 Large Bananas

175g/6oz Caster Sugar

2 tbsp Lemon Juice

2 tbsp Orange Juice

240ml/8 fl.oz. Milk

150ml/5 fl.oz. Double Cream




1. Place the bananas, sugar, lemon juice, orange juice and milk in a food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into a freezer-proof plastic dish and place in the freezer until crystals begin to form at the edges.


2. Whip the cream until stiff.


3. Remove the partly frozen banana mixture from the freezer, turn into a bowl and beat until smooth. Quickly fold in the whipped cream with a spatula. Return to the freezer container and freeze for 2 hours.
