A pinch of
4 Large Apples
4 tbsp Caster
1. Preheat the
oven to 375F, 190C, Gas mark 5.
2. Boil the
milk in a saucepan. Add the rice, granulated sugar and salt then cover
and cook for 30 minutes.

a lid and cook for 25 minutes.
4. Wash, dry
and core the apples. If necessary, cut a thin slice off the base so the apples
don't fall over when placed upright. Place on a greased baking tray, add a
knob of butter to each and sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar.
Bake for 25 minutes.
heat the raspberry jam then pass through a sieve to remove the pips.
6. To serve -
Mix the rice and dried fruit mixtures together. Divide between 4
and place the apples on top. Pour over the raspberry syrup.
