1. Put the
milk, lemon rind and milk in a saucepan. Bring to the boil then simmer
for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Preheat the
oven to 180C, 350F, Gas mark 4.

butter and 50g/2oz of the sugar in a pan, add the apples and cook for 5
minutes. Add the bananas to the pan and cook for a further 3 minutes. Sprinkle
with cinnamon then stir in the drained cherries and
