White Bean Hummus   Veg  CD  HD  Egyptian  10mins

Makes approx 360ml/12fl.oz.     Cold  Vegetarian Herbs Nuts Pulses  Dip Dips Hors d’oeuvre Starter   Gluten Wheat Free  Eggless   Egypt  North Africa Nth African

6 heaped tbsp Roughly Chopped Parsley
4 heaped tbsp Roughly Chopped Basil Leaves
2 tbsp freshly grated Cheese e.g. Gibna Rumy, Parmesan, Cheddar
1 tbsp Pine Nuts
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
2 tbsp Tahini
1 x 400g/14oz tin Cannellini or other white beans, drained
2 Garlic Cloves
Salt and Pepper


1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until quite smooth .

Serve with pita bread or as a dip for crudités.
