Hummus Veg CD ACC Greek 70mins plus chilling Cold Vegetarian Vegan Pulses Accompaniment Dips Healthy Eating Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless Greece Europe Mediterranean
Ingredients 200g/7oz pre soaked Chick Peas 4 tbsp Olive Oil 1 Clove Garlic, crushed 4 tbsp Lemon Juice 4 tbsp Tahini paste (Check ingredients) Salt and Pepper 1/4 teasp Sweet Paprika
Instructions
1. Drain the chick peas and place in a saucepan. Cover with water, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 hour, adding more water as necessary.
2. Drain the chickpeas well then transfer the drained chickpeas to a food processor together with the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. It should be the consistency of very thick mayonnaise so if necessary, add a little water.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
