1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Onion, finely sliced
Firm Fish (e.g. Swordfish, Shark, Tuna, Monkfish, Catfish), cut into large chunks
1 tbsp Vegetable
2 tbsp Lime Juice

10 dried Red Chilies
1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
4 Black Peppercorns, lightly crushed
1/2 teasp Ground Turmeric
1/2 Onion, Chopped
4 Garlic Cloves
1cm/1/2 inch piece of fresh Root Ginger
1. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the sliced onion and fry, stirring from time to
time, until brown.

little water if necessary.
3. Add the paste
to the browned onion and fry for 1-2 minutes stirring.
4. Add the water
and lime juice to the pan, bring to the boil then add the fish and mix
5. Reduce the
heat, partially cover and cook for about 10
minutes or until the fish is tender. Serve immediately with rice.
