Baked Tuna HT
Vegetables Herbs Main Course Gluten Wheat Free Eggless
4 Tuna Steaks
4 Garlic Cloves, crushed
6 Fresh Tomatoes, chopped
100g/4oz Fresh Basil, chopped
Salt & Black Pepper
1/2 teasp Sugar
2 tbsp Lime Juice
Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4.
Melt half the butter in a medium sized saucepan, add half the garlic and sauté
Add the tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper, sugar and lime juice, bring almost to the
boil then reduce the heat
and simmer very gently for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, place the remaining butter and garlic in a small pan and melt over a
heat. Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes until softened.
Arrange the fish in a shallow ovenproof dish then pour the butter and garlic
from the small pan over the top.
Bake for 7 minutes, then turn the fish over and bake for a further 7 minutes.
To serve - spoon the tomato mixture over the fish. Serve immediately.
