Marinated Mackerel  HT  MC  30mins plus marinating

 

 

Serves 4      Hot   Fish   Main Course  Healthy Eating  BBQ  Dairy Free  Eggless

 

 

Ingredients

2 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Wine Vinegar
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
Salt and Black Pepper
4 Mackerel, cleaned and boned
4 Bay Leaves

4 Sprigs Thyme

 

 

Instructions


1. Place the honey, vinegar, mustard and plenty of salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix well. 

 

2. Place the fish in a shallow dish, top with the bay leaves and thyme and pour the marinade over the fish. Cover with clingfilm and refrigerate for 4-8 hours. 

 

3.  Preheat the grill to medium hot. Transfer the fish onto the grill rack and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side, basting frequently with the marinade. Serve immediately.

 

This is also very good barbecued.
