Prawn Balls    HT  MC  Vietnamese  30mins
 


Serves 4-6    Hot  Seafood  Shellfish  Vegetables  Main Course  Dairy Free  Vietnam  Asia Asian

 

 

Ingredients
1 Large Egg

2-3 tbsp Water

225g/8oz Plain Flour

325g/12oz Raw Prawns (shrimp), shelled

100g/4oz Bean Spouts, broken up

50g/2oz Spring Onions, chopped

Salt and Black Pepper

 

 

Instructions

 

1. Preheat the deep fat fryer to 190C/375F and pre-heat the oven to low. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg together with the water.

 

2. Add the flour a tablespoon at a time and beat to form a thick paste, adding a little more flour or water as necessary.

 

3. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and form into balls.


4. Deep fry in batches until golden brown on all sides. Drain on kitchen paper and keep warm in the oven whilst you cook the remainder.  Serve hot.
