Simmered Flat Fish   HT MC  Japanese  20mins

 

 

 

Serves 4    Hot  Fish  Alcohol  Main Course   Dairy free  Japan  Asia Asian  

 

 

Ingredients

4 Small White Flat Fish  (sole, plaice, dabs), cleaned
120ml/4fl.oz. Water
90ml/3fl.oz. Sake
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 teasp Sugar
2 tbsp Mirin
1 teasp freshly grated Ginger


 

Instructions

 

1. Place the water, sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.


2. Add the fish to the pan, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.


3. Add the ginger, re-cover and simmer for a further 1 minute. Serve immediately.
