Baked Plaice with Mushrooms HT MC English 30mins Serves 4 Hot Fish Vegetables Main Course Gluten Wheat Free Eggless England Britain British
Ingredients 8 fillets of Plaice A squeeze of Lemon juice Salt and pepper 1 Onion, finely chopped 50g/2oz Mushrooms, sliced 120ml/4fl.oz. Milk 1 level tbsp Cornflour
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 190C, 375F, Gas mark 5. Fold each fillet with the ends underneath and put them into a greased ovenproof dish. Squeeze a little lemon juice over, sprinkle with salt and pepper and scatter the onion and mushrooms over them; add the milk.
2. Cover with a lid or foil and bake at the bottom of the oven for 10-15 minutes. Transfer the fillets to a serving dish and keep warm.
3. Blend the cornflour with the remaining fish liquor and put into a saucepan; bring to the boil, stirring, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Pour this sauce over the fillets and garnish with sprigs of parsley. Serving Suggestions :
