Squid and Octopi are both seawater cephalopods. Biologically they differ in many ways, two of which are that octopi have "arms" and are completely soft bodied and  squid have "tentacles" and an internal skeleton (pen). Many species of squid and octopus are found and eaten worldwide and depending on the size, the arms or tentacles can be cooked and eaten separately to the body parts.
