Anchovy Ramekins HT HD 45mins Serve 4 Hot Fish Vegetable Hors d'oeuvre Starters Appetizer Eggless
Ingredients: 675g/1-1/2 lb Cooked Potatoes 50g/2oz Butter A little hot Milk 2 x 50g/2oz tins of Anchovies Black Pepper 2 tbsp Fresh Breadcrumbs 2 tbsp Parmesan A little extra butter
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375F, 190C, Gas mark 5. Mash the potatoes and beat in the butter and enough hot milk to give it a smooth consistency.
2. Drain the anchovies. Set 4 aside and finely chop the rest. Mix into the potato adding black pepper to taste.
3. Divide the mixture between 4 individual ramekins which have been lightly buttered.
4. Mix together the breadcrumbs and cheese and sprinkle over the potato mixture. Top with the remainder of the anchovies which have been roughly chopped.
5. Dot with butter and place the ramekins on a baking tray. Bake at the top of the oven for 15-20 minutes.
6. Serve immediately with toast and butter as a starter.
