Baked Scallops Recipe

How to bake scallops

Serves 4     Hot   Seafood   Shellfish  Hors d'oeuvre  Starter   Appetizer  Eggless

Ingredients

8 Scallops

50g/2oz Fresh Breadcrumbs

Butter

Lemon juice

Salt & Pepper

 

Instructions

 

1. Grease one half of each scallop shell or oven proof dish with butter and coat with breadcrumbs.

 

2. Place one scallop in each coated shell or in the oven-proof dish and sprinkle with seasoning and a small knob of butter.

 

3. Cover with more breadcrumbs and a squeeze of lemon juice and bake for 20-25 minutes.

 

4. Serve hot with thin slices of bread and butter as a starter.
