Fresh Anchovies au Gratin HT HD 45mins
Serves 4 Hot Fish Herbs Hors d'oeuvre Starters Eggless
Ingredients: 675g/1½ lb Fresh Anchovies 120ml/4 fl.oz. Olive Oil 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed 3 tbsp Fresh White Breadcrumbs Salt and Pepper 1 teasp Dried Oregano
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 220C, 425F, Gas mark 7. Grease a shallow ovenproof dish.
2. Wash and gut the fish. Remove their heads, tails and backbones. Arrange them in the greased dish and pour most of the olive oil over them. Reserve a little olive oil for later use. Sprinkle with the finely chopped garlic, oregano and seasoning.
3. Mix the parsley with the breadcrumbs and sprinkle the mixture evenly over the fish. Pour over the reserved olive oil and bake for 15 minutes. Serve hot as a starter.
