Ingredients:
225g/8oz Swedes, peeled and diced
450g/1lb Potatoes, peeled and cut into
450g/1lb Onions, thinly sliced
2 Cooking Apples, peeled, cored and
sliced 50g/2oz Butter
Salt and Black Pepper
450g/1lb Cooked (leftover) Lamb Slices
150ml/5fl.oz. Strong fresh Chicken or Lamb Stock
Instructions
1.
Place the Swede and Potato in a large pan of cold salted water. Bring to the
boil

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6 and grease a deep
ovenproof dish.
3.
Blanch the onion and apple slices in boiling water for 5 minutes then drain well
and set aside.
4.
Drain the potatoes and swede then return to the pan and mash well, adding

Arrange alternate layers of the meat, apple and onions in the greased dish then
gently pour the stock over the layers.
6. Spread the mashed potato and swede on the top, dot with the remaining butter and bake in the over for 50 minutes until golden. Serve immediately.
