Turkish Lamb Kebabs HT MC Turkish 30mins plus marinating Serves 4 Hot Lamb Vegetables Alcohol Herbs Main Course Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless
Ingredients 675g/1 ½ lb Lamb, from the leg 1 Green Capsicum, (Sweet Pepper) cut into 25mm/1 inch squares1 Tomato, cut into quarters 2 Courgettes, ( zucchini) cut into 25mm/1 inch slices1 Lemon, cut into quarters 8 small Onions, halved and blanched For the Marinade 4 tbsp Dry Sherry 1-2 cloves Garlic 1 small Onion, finely chopped 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped 1 teasp Dried Oregano 6 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl.
2. Cut the meat into 25mm/l inch cubes and place in the marinade mixture. Toss to make sure each piece of meat is properly covered. Cover the bowl with a plate and refrigerate for 12 hours or overnight. Turn the meat several times during the marinating period.
3. When ready to cook, heat the grill to high. Thread the meat on 6-8 large skewers, alternating with the green peppers squares, tomato pieces, poached white onions, courgette slices and lemon pieces which have been cut in half.
4. Brush the meat and vegetables with the marinade and cook grill for 10-15 minutes turning frequently. Serve immediately.
