Melon Smoothie Recipes

General Notes:

  • All recipes serve 2 unless otherwise stated and take 30-60 seconds’ blending – starting on low and increasing to high.

  • If using frozen fruit omit the ice cubes. You can substitute plain ice cubes with the same quantity of frozen base liquid to give a fuller flavour

  • Where possible, chill the base liquid beforehand

Ginger Watermelon
Each portion supplies 1.25 of your recommended 5-a-day

Ingredients
250g/9oz Watermelon Flesh, cubed
120ml/4fl.oz. Natural yoghurt
1 tbsp Sugar, to taste
˝ teasp Ground Ginger
2-4 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all of the Ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

 

 

Kiwifruit and Melon
Each portion supplies 2 of your recommended 5-a-day

Ingredients
4 slices Honeydew Melon, peeled and cubed
1 Apple, peeled, cored, and cubed
1 Kiwifruit, peeled and cut up
2 - 4 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Lime Juice
2-4 large Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all of the Ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

 

Strawberry Watermelon
Each portion supplies 2.5 of your recommended 5-a-day

Ingredients
175g/6oz, Watermelon Flesh, cubed
175g/6oz Strawberries
1 Banana, peeled and sliced
240ml/8fl.oz. Natural Yoghurt
2-4 Ice Cubes, cracked

Instructions

Place all of the Ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
