Luiuaelie (snails) Alla Ligure HT HD Italian 60mins Serves 4 Hot Vegetables Herbs Alcohol Hors d'oeuvre Appetizer Starter Gluten Wheat Dairy Free Eggless Italy EuropeIngredients 100g/4oz Button Mushrooms, sliced 1 Onion, finely chopped 1 Garlic Clove, crushed 60ml/2fl.oz. Olive Oil 2 teasp Fresh Basil, chopped 2 teasp Freshly Chopped Oregano 225g/8oz tin Chopped Tomatoes Salt and Pepper 150ml/5fl.oz. Dry White Wine 1 x 200g/7oz tin Snails (Escargot) Instructions 1. Heat oil in frying pan. Add onions, garlic, herbs and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomato, season with salt and pepper to taste and stir well.
2. Reduce heat and cook gently for 30 minutes, stirring from time to time.
3. Add the wine and snails and cook for a further 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
