Christmas Buttered Rum Recipe

Serves   4       Hot   Alcohol  Spices   Christmas Drinks  Cocktails   Party  Vegetarian  Xmas



   200g/7oz Butter

   225g/8oz Sugar

   1 teasp Ground Nutmeg

   1 teasp Ground Cinnamon

   600ml/1pt Soft Vanilla Ice Cream

   120ml/4fl.oz. Rum

   Boiling Water




1. Place the butter, sugar and spices in a mixing bowl and beat until well blended.


2. Beat in the ice cream then transfer to a freezer container. Seal and freeze until ready to serve.


3. To serve - place about 90ml/3fl.oz. of the ice cream mixture into a mug, add 30ml/1fl.oz of rum and 120ml/4fl.oz. boiling water. Stir well.
