Student Pasta with Red Onion Sauce Veg HT MC 20mins Serves 1Hot Vegetarian Pasta Vegetables Herbs Main Course Eggless
Ingredients 1 tbsp Olive Oil 1 Garlic Clove, crushed 1 Red Onion, finely chopped½ tablespoon Dried Parsley ½ teaspoon Dried Basil Salt and Black Pepper 120ml/4fl.oz. Crème Fraîche or Double Cream 100g/4oz PastaInstructions 1. Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil, add the pasta and cook for 10-12 minutes. 2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a saucepan, add the onion and garlic and fry gently over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring from time to time, until golden.
3. Add the herbs, seasoning and crème fraîche or cream, bring to the boil then reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 2-3 minutes. 3. To serve - drain the pasta well, transfer to a warmed serving dish and top with the sauce. Serve immediately.
