Spaghetti alla Carbonara  HT  MC  Italian    20mins

 

 

Serves  4     Hot    Pasta    Pork   Main Course  Italy  Europe

 

Ingredients:

350g/12oz Spaghetti

150g/5oz Streaky Bacon, diced

1 tbsp Olive Oil

Salt and Black Pepper

2 Eggs

4 tbsp Single Cream

20g/2oz Freshly Grated Parmesan

 

Instructions

 

1. Bring a large saucepan of heavily salted water to the boil. Add the spaghetti and cook for 10-12 minutes.

 

2. Meanwhile,  heat the oil in a frying pan, add the bacon and fry until golden brown.

 

3. In a small mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, cream, parmesan cheese, salt and plenty of black pepper.

 

4.  Drain the spaghetti well and return to the rinsed out pan. Set over a medium heat.

 

5. Add the beaten egg and cheese mixture, reduce the heat  and continue to cook, turning constantly for a few minutes until the pasta is well coated. Serve immediately.
