Sausage and Stilton Mash HT

Ingredients
1kg/2.2lb Potatoes, peeled and cut into
175ml/6fl.oz Milk
100g/4oz Stilton Cheese, grated or crumbled
Salt and Black Pepper
Freshly Grated Nutmeg 675g/1½ lb Pork Sausages
Instructions
1.
Preheat the grill to hot. Place the potatoes in a large pan of cold salted water. Bring to the boil
and cook for 20-25 minutes until very soft. They should start to fall apart and
break up.

Grill the sausages for 15 -20 minutes, turning
from time to time to brown evenly.

Drain the potatoes in a colander and return to the pan, mash with a fork or potato masher until smooth then add the milk, Stilton, salt,
pepper and nutmeg to taste. Beat with a wooden spoon until well blended and

For traditional Bangers 'n Mash, omit the stilton cheese.
