Sausage And Vegetable Stew HT MC Italian 300mins
Serves 4 Hot Pork Vegetables Main Course Dairy Free Eggless Italy Europe
Ingredients:
450g/1lb Italian Sausage, cut into 225g/8oz Green Peas
225g/8oz Carrots, cut into large dice
1 x 400g/14oz tin Plum Tomatoes
2 Courgettes, (zucchini) sliced
100g/4oz Mushrooms, thickly sliced
4 Garlic Cloves, crushed
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
Instructions
1.
Heat large frying pan until very hot.
2.
Add the sausage and dry fry for about 5 minutes or until browned on all sides.
3. Place the sausage, peas, carrots, tomatoes, courgettes, mushrooms, garlic and tomato paste in a slow cooker (crockpot). Mix well, cover and cook on Low for 4½ to 5 hours. Serve hot.
Can also be cooked on the stove top for 2-3 hours, adding a little water during cooking if necessary.
